President's Message

We hope everyone had a very Joyful Christmas and New Year. As we start another year, we always look forward to what good things are to come. In ASPA we will start with our New Year’s social on January 20, 2010 at 4:00 – 6:00 pm in Choices at St. Thomas Moore College. We look forward to seeing everyone come out for a drink and snacks.

Another good thing for ASPA this year is the move of our office in Kirk Hall to our new location after the renovations. ASPA’s office will be moving to 304 Kirk Hall in January, and ASPA will also receive additional space, a small meeting room in the adjoining room (302). We are excited and look forward to having the additional space, which will be put to good use to serve our members.

Lastly we would like to encourage everyone to let your voice be heard as we move forward in the New Year. We are going to be doing some focus groups to help us determine what ASPA needs to do to better serve our members.

We are always looking for volunteers for various committees and elections are coming up in April. Many positions need to be filled including: President Elect, Treasurer, one Executive Officer and two Members-At-Large.

If those opportunities do not appeal to you, please be sure to talk to one of your Executive members about any concerns that you may have. ASPA needs to hear from you, so be sure to take advantage of the many ways you can let your voice be heard.
